We have successfully defended a legal challenge to our selective and additional licensing schemes. Following this decision, we will now move forward with implementing the schemes.

This policy will be used as an alternative to prosecution and rent repayment orders for certain offences relating to Housing Act 2004 and the Housing and Planning Act 2016.
We have now received a judgment from the Court of Appeal in connection with the claimant’s appeal of the judgment of the High Court that refused them permission to bring a claim for judicial review in respect of the selective and additional licensing schemes.
