Newsletter for council tenants and leaseholders
We regularly send housing newsletters by post to all council tenants and leaseholders.
The newsletter includes:
- the latest updates in housing
- news and service information
- tenant opportunities
- opportunities to give feedback through surveys or joining the Tenant Partnership Board and Tenant Scrutiny Panel
- important announcements and community events
We encourage all tenants to read the newsletters to stay informed about what's happening in the council housing services and within your community.
Spring 2026 newsletter
This edition included updates on:
- improvements to antisocial behaviour services following a Tenant Scrutiny Panel review
- updates to the tenant engagement strategy to better involve tenants in housing services
- resident group activities and community support, including charitable work by groups such as "We are Marsh Farm"
- recruiting mystery shopping to help review and improve housing services
- adult learning opportunities through Luton Adult Learning website
- improved cleaning services in blocks of flats following the appointment of Chequers as the new contractor – find your cleaning schedule
- opportunities for flat residents to become block champions and support communal area inspection
- Building and Technical Services (BTS) service quality and environmental compliance
- advice on staying safe from cold-callers claiming to represent Building and Technical Services (BTS)
- progress on the new housing management system and customer portal
- the "Smart Up Your Rent" campaign, offering support for tenants struggling with rent payments
- upcoming estate actions days to improve local housing services
