Building Control inspection schedule

You must ask us to inspect works at the relevant stages for your building project. This guide lists the stages of inspection for different type of project.

In this section:

New bathroom or cloakroom

  • Stage 1: commencement, may be combined with stage 2 - minimum two days notice.
  • Stage 2: inspect new traps and drain pipes, connection to existing system.
  • Stage 3: check ventilation to room and witness mechanical fan test, where needed.
  • Stage 4: completion and any final drain test check, minimum one day notice - may be combined stage 3 if all OK.
