Community support – local area coordination
Being involved in your community plays a big part in keeping people healthy, independent and connected. Prevention is about supporting people early, before problems become harder to manage. One of the best ways to do this is by helping people build strong local connections.
When people feel part of their community, they are less likely to feel lonely, isolated or overwhelmed. Being involved in activities, meeting others and using local spaces can improve both physical and mental wellbeing.
We have Local Area Coordinators across Luton that will to take the time to get to know you and help you achieve your vision of a good life.
Together we can:
- explore your ideas, options and solutions to any issues you might be facing.
- help you build your confidence and connections.
- help you share your gifts and skills with others.
Local Area Coordinators serve the entire community and operate within the local area they are based in. They are available to everyone living in that area through a simple introduction, with no referral or time limit.
