What councillors do
Councillors have a duty to represent the whole community, but they have a special duty to their constituents, including those who did not vote for them.
Councillors:
- represent you and your ward
- make policy decisions
- make financial decisions
- decide how the council should be run
Local wards
The borough of Luton is divided up into 20 wards. Each ward is represented by either 2 or 3 councillors, elected every four years.
