MARAC is a regular meeting where organisations work together to protect people who are at high risk of serious harm or death from domestic abuse. Meetings are held every month.

The meeting focuses on the victim’s safety. Agencies share information and agree an action plan to reduce risks to the victim, their children, and any other vulnerable dependants.

How are referrals made

Referrals can only be made by professional agencies. There is no self referral route. If you need to refer to a MARAC, follow this link:

Submit a referral - Bedfordshire Domestic Abuse Partnership

All information discussed in a MARAC is confidential. Everyone attending the meeting must sign a confidentiality agreement. Information is stored securely and never shared with the perpetrator.
