Housing support

If you experience domestic abuse, you have legal rights that can help protect you in your home. This applies to married and unmarried households, as well as homes with children.

We will do everything we can to support you and explain your legal rights. You should also get independent legal advice, and we can guide you on how to do this.

If you are experiencing domestic abuse, or you think someone else is, contact the Police Adult Safeguarding Team.

If you are a council tenant or in temporary accommodation, report the abuse to the police and then contact your tenancy officer for information and support.
