Bin collections
Check your bin collection day, order replacement bins and waste sacks, uncollected bins, report a missed collection, types of bins and what goes in each bin, assisted collections.
What to put in your rubbish (non-recyclable) bin
Only use the rubbish bins for waste that cannot be recycled or composted.
What not to include
Do not include:
- any recyclables
- building materials
- soil and rubble
- garden waste
- some types of clinical waste
- asbestos
- large bulky items, including furniture – arrange a bulky waste collection
- electrical items – take them to a tip
- toxic or hazardous materials, including car batteries, motor oil, paint, corrosive materials – take them to a tip
- hot ash, once cooled
