Bin collections
Check your bin collection day, order replacement bins and waste sacks, uncollected bins, report a missed collection, types of bins and what goes in each bin, assisted collections.
Types of bins and when they are collected
Houses and flats have different bins and different collection schedules. What you put in each bin depends on whether you live in a flat or house.
If you live in a house
Houses receive:
- food waste collections every week
- rubbish collections every two weeks
- recycling collections every two weeks
- glass collections every two weeks
What to put in which bin for houses
Put your:
- food waste in your blue bin
- recycling in your green bin
- green garden waste in your brown bin
- glass bottles and jars in your black box
- rubbish in your black bin
If you live in a flat
Most flats receive:
- rubbish collections every two weeks
- recycling collections every two weeks
- glass collections every two weeks
What to put in which bin for flats
Put your:
- recycling in your red or green bins or clear sacks
- rubbish in your black lidded communal bin or black wheeled bin
- glass in your black communal box, large purple bin or smaller labelled glass-only bin
