After you apply for a resident parking permit

What happens after your permit is issued, including how to manage your account, how to change your registered vehicle and your responsibilities as a permit holder.

After we receive your application and have checked your information and documents, it usually takes two days to process an application.

Issuing your parking permit

Resident parking permits are virtual. We will not send you a printed permit to display in your vehicle. 

Your resident parking permit allows you to park in any parking space in your relevant residents parking zone (RPZ).

Manage your parking account online

Within your parking account you can:

  • change your registered vehicle
  • update your contact details
  • cancel a permit
  • buy visitor voucher sessions
  • book visitor voucher sessions online

Your duties as a permit holder

It is your duty to make sure:

  • your permit is valid
  • your permit has not expired
  • that the registration number is correct
  • your permit is used in accordance with the terms and conditions of issue

Withdrawing a permit

We may withdraw or invalidate a permit if we find that:

  • it is not being used according to the guidelines or the terms and conditions
  • you are no longer eligible to hold a permit
