Who can apply
Applications for a council garage are open to:
- council tenants
- council leaseholders
- non‑council residents may apply (subject to availability)
Priority may be given to applicants living closest to the garage site.
Garage locations and waiting times
Garages are in high demand. The waiting times depend on when a garage becomes available and differs depending on the area and the number of applicants. It could take weeks or sometimes many months for a suitable garage to become available.
Once you have made your application, you will be placed on the waiting list and we’ll contact you if a suitable garage becomes available.
