Taxi and private hire licences
Apply for, renew or update your drivers licence, operators licence or vehicle licence, book your knowledge test or safe guarding and disability training, public register of licences.

Complete the application yourself. You are responsible for the information and documents submitted. Incorrect or missing information could delay your application or prevent it from being processed.
There are two types of taxi licence, hackney carriage and private hire. We license:
- hackney carriage vehicles
- private hire vehicles
- their drivers and operators
Report vehicle damage
