School Holiday Meals voucher scheme
Funding has been secured under the Household Support Fund provided by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to provide vulnerable households peace of mind. The funding will help families and their children to be well fed in the school holidays.
We have issued schools with funding to provide parents of children who would usually receive a FSM with a supermarket voucher to cover their meals over the school holidays.
Who is entitled to the scheme
Meals vouchers will automatically be issued to eligible children who qualify for free school meals.
Pupils in nursery school, reception and years 1 and 2 who receive FSM will not automatically be issued with meals vouchers for the school holidays unless:
- they've made a successful application for FSM or Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP)
- they qualify under the low income criteria
