Junior school transfer
Parents of pupils in Year 2 who would like their child to transfer to a junior school from September 2027 must apply for a junior school place by 15 January 2027.
You must apply for a school place even if:
- you have already made an earlier application direct to the school
- your preferred school is not in Luton
- your preferred school is a faith school, a foundation school, an academy or a free school
- your child is attending the linked infant school.
Applications received after 15 January 2027 will be treated as late. Late applications will be processed in May 2027.
If you apply late, your chances of getting a preferred school are much more limited.
Middle school places
The closing date for parents to apply for a place for their child has now passed. However, you can still apply for a middle school place for your child.
If you are submitting the form to change your preference(s) and we are able to allocate one of the schools you have stated on your form, the school your child was originally allocated will immediately be withdrawn and re-allocated to another child.
Parents of pupils in Year 4 who would like their child to attend a middle school from September 2027 must apply for a school place by 15 January 2027.
Applications received after 15 January 2027 will be treated as late.
If you apply late, your chances of getting a preferred school are much more limited.
