The CON29 form is made up of the following two parts:
- standard enquiries and a local authority 2002 edition
- optional enquiries of a local authority 2007 edition
The CON29 is considered a warning document for a prospective purchaser.
Part 1
Part 1 enquiries are produced for one standard fee. It contains a list of standard questions regarding the property and the area. These include a response to:
- whether the roadway is maintainable at public expense
- road schemes both current or proposed within 200 metres of the property
- traffic schemes both current and proposed for the roadway
- the area of the property
- outstanding notices, directions or proceedings under planning acts
- planning and building regulations including pending applications
- designated use under the Local Plan
- conservation areas
- compulsory purchase
- contaminated land under section 78 Environmental Protection Act 1990
Part 2
Optional enquiries are only answered if they are:
- specifically requested by the applicant
- subject to an additional charge per additional enquiry
In all cases, the information given in a search response relates directly to the property searched, unless specifically indicated upon the search result.
