Apply for or renew a disability smart card
New applications should be made by completing an application form online.
If you do not have access to a computer (PC) you can use our self service computers free of charge at Luton Central Library.
Supporting evidence
You must provide:
- proof of address dated within the last three months at the time of application (utility bills or bank statement or council tax letter)
- proof of disability:
- Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMCDLA) or
- Personal Independence Payment (PIP), where the applicant has been awarded at least eight points against either the PIP “Moving around” and/or “communicating verbally” or
- Blue Badge, or
- War Pensioners Mobility (WPC) Supplement
Renew or replace a smart card
You can renew an expired smart card free of charge.
The replacement smart card charge is £14.
