Traffic exclusion zones around schools
Traffic exclusion zones prevent vehicles from being moved in a specified area, during peak school pick up and drop off times.
Drivers can leave the zone when it is in operation, but they cannot drive into one when it is active.
If you are not a resident of the area, or if you do not have a permit, do not enter the zone during the controlled hours shown on the sign.
Traffic exclusion zone permits
Certain people can apply for a free permit, including:
- local residents
- staff working at the school
- any parent with a child who has a disability
