The job fair will support residents with additional needs, neurodiversity and mental health conditions to explore job vacancies, discover training opportunities and access expert advice.

More than 15 employers will be attending, including Luton Airport, Luton Town FC, the NHS, Willmott Dixon, Jobcentre Plus, Churchill Healthcare, Disability Resource Centre, Care Support Empower, Aramark, ATOB Travel, Connect 2 Luton and Luton Council’s recruitment team.

Visitors can also attend industry talks delivered by NHS representatives and employability workshops led by Luton Adult Learning, covering topics such as job hunting, skills development and career progression. A British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter will be available throughout the event.

Councillor James Taylor, Portfolio Holder for Education, Employability and Skills at Luton Council, said: “Everyone should have the opportunity to access meaningful employment and the support they need to succeed, regardless of any additional needs they may have.

“By bringing together employers, training providers and support organisations under one roof, this job fair will help residents explore opportunities, gain valuable advice and take the next step towards their goals. I encourage anyone who could benefit to come along and find out what’s available.”

Diana McIldowie, Head of Careers Education at Barnfield College, said: “Hosting the Inclusive Job Fair reflects Barnfield College’s commitment to widening participation, supporting diverse talent, and strengthening connections between education, employers and our local community.

“We are proud to play a role in bringing partners together to support aspiration, break down barriers to employment and contribute to a more inclusive and dynamic local workforce.”

Ben B Groves, Recruitment Advisor Manager for Bedfordshire at Department for Work and Pensions, said: “Luton Jobcentre Plus is proud to partner with Luton Council and Barnfield College on this exciting event, connecting our customers with health conditions and disabilities directly with local employers, who are actively recruiting and ready and to meet candidates face to face and other support negotiations.”

The Inclusive Job Fair will be held on Tuesday 30 June from 12pm to 2pm at Barnfield College, Barnfield Ave, LU2 7BF.

Admission is free and no registration is required.
