Ways to pay your Council Tax bill

There are many ways to pay your Council Tax but the easiest way is to set up a Direct Debit or pay online.

Essential maintenance
From 10am on Saturday 10 October to 10am on Monday 12 October, there may be limited access to some online services while we carry out essential maintenance on our revenues and benefits systems. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Important - Luton Council does NOT accept payments via PAYZONE.

Before making the payment make sure you:

  • have your Council Tax reference
  • make your payment on or before the due date – your instalments by default are due on the first of each month (unless you’ve specifically requested a different day)

You will receive an email confirmation after you have made the payment.
