The delivery plan 2025 to 2030
The Luton town centre delivery plan sets out how partners from across the town centre are delivering against the Luton Town Centre Masterplan.
As well as tracking progress so far, the delivery plan also captures work still be done during the next year, five years and further out.
The masterplan
The masterplan was published in 2021 with the aim to make the town centre more welcoming and safer, including establishing better connections throughout, and into the surrounding area, creating new green and blue spaces and bringing more economic diversity.
The masterplan set out five ‘key moves’, that continue to be the guiding principles in the delivery plan.
- Upcycling what already exists.
- Re-stitching the centre.
- Knit the centre back into the town.
- Introduce a greater range of activities.
- Open up the River Lea.
