Make a query about primary relationships and health education (RHE)

Follow these steps if you have a query about primary relationships and health education (RHE).

Step 1: I have a query about RHE

If you would like to like to discuss the curriculum, you can ask to have a meeting with classroom teacher to discuss your query.

If your query is resolved, then the school will write to you to confirm your discussion and will keep a record.

If your query is not resolved, you can choose to withdraw your child from non-mandatory lesson(s). Go to step 2.

Step 2: Withdrawing your child

If you want to withdraw your child from RHE, then you can ask to have a meeting with a senior leader to discuss your query.

If you've decided not to withdraw my child. The school will write to you to confirm your discussion and will keep a record.

If you still want to withdraw my child – go to step 3.

Step 3: Meeting arranged to discuss withdrawal

A meeting will be held with headteacher and governor or trustee to discuss withdrawal. The decision will then be made as to whether or not to withdraw child.

If you have decided to withdraw your child. See step 4.
