Luton’s The Vale Crematorium rated ‘Outstanding’ by FBCA
The Vale Cemetery and Crematorium has achieved an 'Outstanding' rating, following a comprehensive inspection by the Federation of Burial and Crematorium Authorities (FBCA).
The inspection took place in June and assessed eight key areas of service delivery based on the FBCA’s Crematorium Compliance Scheme. These include administration, ceremony facilities, cremation operations, grounds and memorialisation, environmental standards, and staff service.
The crematorium was rated ‘Outstanding’ in five of the eight categories, including cremation facilities and administration, ceremony facilities, and premises and facilities. It also earned a perfect score of 100% in the service and staff category.
Councillor Javeria Hussain, Portfolio Holder for Cemeteries and Crematoria, said: "We are delighted that The Vale Crematorium has received this recognition from the FBCA. Achieving a perfect score for service and staff is a reflection of the care, dignity and professionalism our team demonstrates every day while supporting residents and families through some of life's most challenging moments. I would like to thank them for their continued dedication and commitment to delivering an exceptional service."
The next scheduled inspection will take place in three years.
