Intermittent telephone issues

If you, or someone who lives with you, is 'substantially and permanently' disabled we may be able to reduce your bill by putting your home in a lower Council Tax band.
We can do this if your home has been adapted to meet the needs of a disabled person. This could include:

The person responsible for paying the bill usually applies for the reduction even if they are not the disabled person – for example, the disabled person may be a child.
You'll need to provide either:
You will need to print out the disabled certificate and get your GP to fill it out.
You will also need your Council Tax account number on all letters you send us.
If you do not provide evidence then you cannot submit your application.
Complete the online application and upload with supporting evidence.
You must still pay the amount on your Council Tax bill until you hear from us.
If you qualify for the discount, we’ll check every year that you're still entitled to it.
We usually will not backdate a discount because it is almost impossible to verify. We might consider it if you provide strong evidence and our internal checks support the claim.
