This policy is intended to provide clarity for children, young people, adults, parents and carers facing a wide range of circumstances.
This policy will come into effect from September 2025, for all new applicants starting a new course/key stage. However, for children of compulsory school age the additional discretionary assistance, set out in the previous policy, will be available until the end of term in July 2026.
