This aim of this policy is to:
- help parents by ensuring that their children can access education, and arrive in a good state to learn
- ensure that decisions on access to free home-to-school transport are made fairly and transparently
- ensure that all children and young people have the opportunity to develop their independence
- increase the use of sustainable transport and to reduce the use of private cars
