Overview
The Corporate Procurement team supports Luton Council in obtaining goods, services and works in a compliant, efficient and value-for-money way. We help ensure that public funds are spent responsibly while delivering the best possible outcomes for the council, residents and local communities.
Our responsibilities include:
- ensuring compliance with Procurement Act 2023, Procurement Regulations 2024, Provider Selection Regime and any other relevant regulatory requirements
- ensuring compliance with the Council's Constitution, Procurement and Contract Management Policy, and other relevant procedures, supporting services to meet governance requirements and maintain transparency, accountability, and fairness in procurement activities
- leading and managing procurements with a total estimated contract value of £25,000 and above, providing end-to-end procurement support and expert advice throughout the process
