You can use this form to order copies of certificates for a:
- marriage
- civil partnership
- birth
- death
Do not complete this form if the event has not taken place or been registered yet. You will need to make an appointment first to do this.

What you need to order a copy of a certificate
To complete this order form, you need:
- detailed information about the type of certificate you are applying for
- £12.50 fee per certificate you have ordered - it will be issued within 15 working days
- an additional £26 per certificate, if you need it to be sent within 24 hours
- the delivery address you want your certificate posted to
- postage fees
- a credit/debit card to make your payment
Lost certificates
We are not liable for any certificates lost in the post. No refunds or replacements will be provided.
If you wish your order to be insured and traceable, Royal Mail Signed for and Special Delivery is available for an additional fee.

Postage fees for delivery of a copy of a certificate
If your order is a standard application, these are the postage costs:
- standard UK: free
- first class UK: £2.65
- first class signed for: £4.25
- standard worldwide: £3.80
- special delivery: £9.50
If you opt for priority service, these are the postage costs:
- first class UK: free
- first class UK signed for: £4.25
- standard worldwide: £3.80
- special delivery: £9.50
