Attended and unattended cremation service charges
The cremation charges listed on this page are the same, whether the deceased is a Luton resident or not.
The length of time permitted for a cremation service is one hour, which includes the time allowed for mourners to gather and leave the crematorium.
There is no attended or unattended cremation cost for Non Viable Foetus (NVF), stillborns and children under 18 years.
Attended cremation services (Monday to Friday)
Attended cremation services for adults costs £1,140. The service includes:
- medical referee fee
- cremation certificate
- overseas certificate
- use of chapel for service
- recorded music facility
- container for cremated remains
- scattering of cremated remains
Attended cremation service charges on weekends and bank holidays
For attended cremation service for adults on a weekend or bank holiday costs £1,440.
Unattended cremation services (between 9am and 4pm)
Unattended cremation services between 9am and 4pm for adults costs £830. The service includes:
- medical referee fees
- cremation certificate
- overseas certificate
- recorded music facility
- container for returning cremated remains
- scattering of cremated remains from Monday to Friday
There is no chapel for service included.
Unattended cremation services (before 9am and after 4pm)
Unattended cremation services before 9am and after 4pm for adults costs £320. The service includes:
- medical referee fees
- cremation certificate
- overseas certificate
- container for returning cremated remains
- scattering of cremated remains from Monday to Friday
What is not included:
- chapel for service
- recorded music facility
Private hire of Chapel for Remembrance and memorial service
Cost £300 per hour.
