22/03/2019 - Arrangements for New Century Park development control meeting

Sub heading

Town Hall

On 27 March 2019 the council’s Development Control Committee will determine London Luton Airport Ltd’s planning application for a mixed-use commercial development at New Century Park plus associated new access road.

The meeting will take place from 2pm at Luton Town Hall, in the Council Chamber.

The Development Control Committee is held in public but is not a public meeting. This means members of the public may attend to watch, but will not be able to participate in any way unless they formally objected to the proposal and declared their right to speak at the meeting.

It's important to stress that space in the Chamber and its public gallery is limited. Those objectors who take up their right to speak, and speakers representing the applicant, will be prioritised – and we expect that other attendance will be limited to around 25 members of the public, which will be on a first-come, first served basis.

We will be live-tweeting the meeting so people can follow as it is happening.  You don’t need to have your own Twitter account to follow this, just go online to our
twitter page

The planning application reference number is 17/02300/EIA  and further information is available on our meetings page

A council spokesperson said: “We must emphasise that while this meeting is being held in public, it is not a public meeting.

“The Chamber and the public gallery provide adequate seating for limited numbers of attendees, nonetheless, given the space restrictions our strong advice is for people to consider sending group representatives where appropriate and to follow the live updates via Twitter.”
