21/03/2019 - Find your career pathway at the apprenticeship LETS Fair

Sub heading

Luton Council is holding an apprenticeship-focused Luton Employment, Training and Skills (LETS) Fair for people of all ages, on Wednesday 27 March at Venue Central.

With over 30 exhibitors at the event to offer help and guidance for those considering apprenticeships, attendees will be able to find out why so many people are now choosing apprenticeships as a pathway to a great career, or even to change career completely.

Those visiting will be able to hear about apprenticeship training for all ages, find out about higher and further education options for school and collage leavers, hear about current employment opportunities and take part in careers advice workshops.

Exhibitors include:

Cllr Sian Timoney, Executive Portfolio Holder for Transformation, said: “Apprenticeships are a really good opportunity to learn while you earn and completing a training programme can really improve your career prospects. With four equivalent educational levels of apprenticeship on offer - from intermediary to degree level - there are many future career possibilities for those considering this route.

“We have some big employers in Luton, including the council and those taking on apprentices are very committed to not only seeing them through the actual process, but also offering them training and opportunities well beyond.”

The LETS Fair takes place from 11am until 6pm at Venue Central, 15-17 Chapel Street, LU1 2SE. To find out more, contact Attia Nazir on 01582 547337.
