Jobs, safety, and homes

In the next three years, we will deliver our contribution to eliminating poverty by 2040 through focusing on three of the most important areas for our residents – jobs, safety and homes.

We will do this by using the objectives and key results (OKR) model to drive tangible change. Further details to be set out in our new corporate plan in 2026.

Five key strategies

This focus is underpinned by the five broad priorities:

2. fostering an inclusive and growing economy

4. being a net zero town
5. being a town with improved wellbeing
