​​Permitted development rights allow certain works and changes of use to take place without needing full pla​nning permission. Further information about planning permission and permitted development rights can be found on the Planning Portal​.

Permitted development rights for a specified area or property can be removed under article 4 of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) Order 2015.

Permitted development rights have been or are being removed at the following locations.

Butterfield business park (office to residential conversions)

Capability Green business park (office to residential conversions)

Rest of Luton (office to residential conversions)

Wolston Close (telecommunications mast)

Land adjoining Hayling Drive and its approaches from Wigmore Lane (enclosure and access)

Land at the south end of Hayhurst Road and Stanton Road (enclosure)
