This document, which is structured in accordance with Department for Transport guidance,

sets out a review of the performance of the second Luton Dunstable and Houghton Regis Local Transport Plan (LTP2) at a mid point in its five year delivery.

The LTP2 clearly sets out the importance of a cross cutting and diverse delivery programme to tackle the needs of the conurbation’s communities in:

  • improving road safety
  • increasing accessibility
  • improving air quality
  • cutting congestion
  • maintaining the transport infrastructure
