Local Transport Plan 2 2006-2011

The Local transport plan (LTP) for Luton, Dunstable and Houghton Regis covers the period from April 2006 to March 2011.  It is known as LTP2 because it is the second LTP for the Luton Dunstable and Houghton Regis conurbation. It has been produced jointly with Bedfordshire County Council and South Bedfordshire District Council because the three towns form a continuously built-up area with a common set of local transport problems.
 
This production of this document is a requirement of the Department for Transport. It differs significantly from the first LTP with the inclusion of a number of additional issues. However, it also continues many of the policies that were established in the first LTP. It is expected that the requirement to complete Annual Progress Reports (APR) will continue over the period of LTP2.
