The council is responsible for maintaining bus shelters as well as the siting of new ones.
The council offers advice concerning the positioning and maintenance of bus shelters and new funding through the Local Transport Plan which has enabled us to embark upon a programme of improvements.
There are a number of specialist advertising firms who provide shelters in return for the right to display advertising material on them but these firms are normally only willing to consider urban areas.
