Road Safety Strategy 2005-2011
The aim of the strategy is to set out the extent of road safety problems throughout Luton together with how we presently tackle these issues and more importantly, what we intend to do improve our performance in this area.
School Travel Plan Strategy 2005-2008
The School Travel Plan Strategy sets out to bring a change in school travel patterns. The strategy aims to cut congestion and pollution and obtain the wider benefits associated with more walking and cycling.
The aim of the strategy is to reduce the number of motorcyclists being injured whilst supporting motorcycling as a transport mode within the general traffic mix.
Speed Management Plan 2006 - 2011
The aim of the plan is to reduce road casualties whilst providing safe and efficient movement of people and goods and protecting/ enhancing the qualities of life within communities.
Road Safety Reports
Luton Accident and Casualty Report
Details the number of people being injured in road accidents and categorised by severity, age, type and time of occurrence. The Government sets targets for the reduction of road accident casualties and this report sets out these targets and the progress made towards them.
Reports the progress that Luton have made in reducing road traffic accidents involving children and details the actions we are taking to further reduce these.
The report details the work that the Road Safety team and our partners have done in the previous year and the following years programme.
Motorcycle accident report 2007
This is Luton’s first motorcycle accident report.
