St George's Square - redevelopment

Finished and fabulous.

The transformation of St George's Square is now complete. Funded jointly with Liveability funding from the then Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM), the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and Luton Borough Council.

Features of the new look square include:

• amphitheatre seating
• framework of trees and shrubs
• integrated lighting
• under seat lighting
• tall lighting mast
• large grass area
• granite paving and road surfacing
• new cycle racks, litter bins and bollards
• restricted vehicle access
