| Information | Enjoy this colourful exhibition of textile art inspired by a Victorian bed coverlet made by Mary Greening and her friends. Textile groups New Horizons and Bedfordshire Quilters have used the coverlet as inspiration to produce modern work. Also on display for the first time are two Biblical coverlets on loan from the Quilters Guild of the British Isles. Members of the Bedfordshire Quilters and New Horizons will be demonstrating their sewing skills during the course of the exhibition. Free. Stockwood Discovery Centre is open on Monday to Friday between 10am and 5pm and on Saturday and Sunday between 11am and 5pm during the summer season which runs from 12 July to 26 October. The winter season sees the centre closing at 4pm on each day. |
