| Information | Circus Odyssey is a unique experience that will take the audience on an exciting journey through the wonders of circus. The journey will see the audience begin as a viewer and end up as a performer, starting at the Library Theatre and finishing at the hat Factory. The event will combine a visual feast of live circus performances, with the opportunity for the audience to try it themselves. The show starts at the Library Theatre with a dazzling display of light swinging against a backdrop of dynamic dance music, followed by an amazing performance of skill on the German wheel. The audience is then whisked over to the hat Factory for a heart stopping aerial show on rope and tissu, incorporating video Djing (VJing) and recorded imagery. This is followed by contemporary juggling, where movement meets technology - the juggling clubs are lit and synchronised to music to create a stunning effect. The baton is then handed over to the audience, as they get to try their skills in a selection of workshops, including tight wire, juggling, diablo, street magic and plate spinning - trousers and sensible shoes are a must. On leaving the event the audience will be serenaded by a musical saw! In this incredible and eccentric musical act, the inimitable Dennis Teeth will perform a range of classical music scores on a saw. There will be three performances taking place on each date, including two afternoon performances for families and an evening performance for party goers.
