There are several ways to pay for services you get from the council:

  • On-line - Click here to make a payment now but see below for some notes on what payments we can accept.

  • Via our automated telephone payment system - simply telephone 01582 54 73 73, remember to have your bill and credit card in front of you when you call.  Please note that there is now a charge for payment by credit card, but there is no charge for using a debit card.

  • Using our payment kiosk, situated in the Cashiers' office in the Town Hall - the town hall is open from 8am to 7pm Monday to Friday.

We can accept payments for:
  • Council tax
  • National non domestic rates (business rates)
  • Council tenant rents
  • Housing benefit overpayment invoices
  • Mortgage payments
  • Housing rent
  • Homeless accommodation
  • Homeless deposits scheme
  • LMS music tuition fees
  • Other invoices (including Social Services)

We can accept payment by the following cards:
