What can I do about a noisy pub, bar or club?
Contact us and we will investigate your complaint. If the business is found to be causing a legal nuisance, we will serve a noise abatement notice which will require the noise to stop or be reduced. If the notice is not complied with, we can prosecute the business and, for loud music problems, seize their music system.

The premises has a licence, can I ask for the licence to be reviewed?
The council is responsible for issuing premises licences and residents and businesses in the vicinity of pub, bar or club have the right to object to licence applications.

Local residents and businesses also have the right to request a review of an existing licence if there are problems. Please call the Licensing team if you would like to do this, 01582 54 60 40.
