Excessive noise can make life a misery. We can help or advise you about noise from:
- Barking dogs
- Burglar alarms
- Car alarms
- Construction and demolition sites
- Fans, air conditioning units, extraction equipment
- Noisy neighbours
- Pubs, bars and clubs
- Noisy parties
- Shops and restaurants
We are unable to help with the following:
- Aircraft noise - contact London Luton Airport, 01582 39 53 82 or the Civil Aviation Authority
- Children playing
- Fireworks
- Noisy people in the street - call police 01582 40 12 12
- Traffic noise
How can I make a complaint about noise?
- call 01582 51 03 30, 8am to 6pm
- call 07767 89 36 70, (Noise Patrol), 9.30pm to 2.30am, Friday (May to September), Saturday (all year)
- call 01582 54 65 94 at other times and leave a message on our out-of-hours answerphone (this message will be answered the next working day)
- make a complaint in person at the town hall
- complete an online form
