Crime
Break in We recognise the effect that crime can have on the victim and therefore we will try and do what we can to help you during this time.

If you or your family have been the victim of crime, whether it is racist, violent, homophobic etc, we may be able to help you in making your home more secure.  To discuss the options, please contact your Local Area Housing Office.

You can also take steps to make your home more secure.  Burglaries are usually committed because people haven't locked doors, have left windows open or left a spare key under the mat.

Simple Steps to Crime Prevention

  • Lock all windows and doors
  • All tools and ladders should be locked away
  • Fit a security light to side and rear areas
  • Park your car in a well-lit area
  • Install a burglar alarm - make it visible

Any crime related issues can be discussed in confidence with staff at your Local Area Housing Office.
