About the Discovery Centre

Stockwood Discovery Centre is now open!

Luton's Stockwood Park Museum has undergone a £6m transformation thanks to a £3.7m cash injection from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF), along with the recent award of £1.2m objective 2 European funding and funding from other generous external supporters.

Stockwood Discovery Centre, a free museum and visitor attraction that includes:

fascinating interactive displays about the history of the area including the former Stockwood House
new gardens to complement the current period gardens. These will include sensory, world and medicinal gardens
a visitor centre with a brand-new shop and cafe
an outdoor children's discovery area
exciting changing exhibitions
attractive new corporate entertainment/meeting room facilities for hire

Stockwood Discovery Centre opening times

Summer Season (April - October)
Monday - Friday 10am - 5pm
Saturday and Sunday 11am - 5pm

Winter Season (November - March)
Monday - Friday 10am - 4pm
Saturday and Sunday 11am - 4pm

New entrance to Stockwood Discovery Centre is off London Road.
