Play Rangers - Luton BC

This funding has also been used to employ 5 play rangers for Luton through Children’s Links a national charity. The Play Rangers will play a key role in consulting with the children/young people as to any gaps in the current play provision, encouraging ownership and safe/appropriate use of the facilities and promoting community cohesion.

Play Rangers aim not only to build links with the children/young people and residents of the area but also develop relationships with local professionals such as the children's centre, special and main stream schools and local sports clubs.

Meet the Play Rangers

	Rachel Ansbro: - Play Development Co-ordinator Rachel has spent the last 4 years developing after school and holiday play provision in North Hertfordshire including setting up Play Ranger Teams.

	Katie Chambers: - Play Ranger Katie was previously working in Kids Clubs, as a Co-ordinator and Child Care manager for a variety of holiday companies aboard

As part of the February half term sessions a group of 30 children/young people enjoyed a day out at Grafham Water where they got to experience various risky play activities such as abseiling and high ropes. See pictures below.
