The field of adult social care uses a large number of terms and expressions which may be confusing to anyone who is not familiar with them. We have compiled a glossary of some of these terms which we hope you will find useful. If we, or any health care professional, use words you are not sure about, please ask for an explanation. The glossary can be downloaded below.
