The council does not provide geo-technical services but can give guidance on contamination problems, contaminated land and building and road design.
Geo technical services include engineers, drillers and technicians who can provide a range of services including feasibility studies, desk studies, geotechnical site investigations, site and laboratory testing and contaminated land studies.

In addition, guidance on design of buildings and other structures is available from our development control and building control departments, road pavement design from our street services department and environment and consumer services can give guidance on contamination problems.
