The CON29 form is made up of two parts. Part I Standard Enquiries and a Local Authority 2002 Edition and Part II Optional Enquiries of a Local Authority 2002 Edition.

The CON29 is considered a warning document for a prospective purchaser. Part I enquiries are produced for one standard fee. Part I contains a list of standard questions regarding the property and the area. These include a response to whether the roadway is maintainable at public expense, road schemes both current or proposed within 200 metres of the property, traffic schemes both current and proposed for the roadway and the area of the property, outstanding notices, directions or proceedings under planning acts, planning and building regulations including pending applications, designated use under the local plan, conservation areas, compulsory purchase and contaminated land under section 78 Environmental Protection Act 1990. Part II Optional enquiries are only answered if specifically requested by the applicant and are subject to an additional charge per additional enquiry. In all cases the information given in a search response relates directly to the property searched unless specifically indicated upon the search result.
