It is a statutory requirement that a local authority maintain a Local Land Charges Register (LLCR).
This is a public register. The LLCR consists of 12 parts and contains details of all land charges registered against the property by the local authority. The charges detailed upon the LLCR would not normally be disclosed upon the title deeds or from a property inspection.
