Customer service centre
This department provides key services to members of the public as well as a wide range or internal support functions

Customer Services provides information to our customers on most of the services provided by the Council, either via the Customer Services Centre, or via our Call Centre.

Revenues and Benefits manage the collection of business rates and domestic rates as well as the payment of Housing and Council Tax Benefits. These can be quite complex areas and they are covered by Government legislation.

Human Resources provides support and advice to all Council departments and the two trusts on all employment matters including organisational change, recruitment, training, performance and discipline.

Legal Services provides legal support and advice to all Council departments on all areas of the Council’s business.

Finance covers services such as payroll, payments, recovery of debts owed to the Council, accountancy, insurances, audit and fraud.
